Mirabelles, the plums from Lorraine, are small golden-yellow plums with a tender and sweet flesh. As tasty as round, they blend perfectly in our preparations and also in our recipes…
Ingredients (serves 6):
- 1 ready to roll puff pastry
- 160 g flour
- 100 g butter
- 80 g caster sugar
- 2 teaspoons icing sugar
- 1 egg
- 150 g Mirabelle from Lorraine jam (Extra Organic, Extra or Light)
- 2 spoons of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Mix the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl and make a well.
- Add the egg, butter and milk. Combine to obtain a crumbly mixture. Form a ball (like a pizza), wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 210 °C.
- Place the pastry in a round cake tin and spread the jam on your pastry (small mirabelles are also welcome :)!).
- Cover the tart with the puff pastry or make braids first to obtain a result like the one on the photo.
- Bake for 20 min.
- Allow to cool before removing from the cake tin.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar.
